NOTICE: If you downloaded the Forgotten Front map before March of 2024 please download it again. I discovered a few minor issues that I have now corrected or improved upon, such as moving two mounted machine guns that were not in their correct location, adding handrails to the tower stairs, and generating a highly detailed mini-map. More vehicles, along with several corrections were made to the conquest levels and more ambient effects were added throughout the entire combat area.
Forgotten Front features a mostly wooded landscape of gently rolling hills, rocky outcrops, and shallow trenches. Mounted machine guns overlook the majority of the battlefield with many being housed in concrete pillboxes or sitting atop sandbag barriers. Numerous shell craters, rock piles, and sandbag piles provide decent cover for scout troops while several lookout towers provide snipers with a commanding view and a decisive edge.

If you only play the SinglePlayer maps, then I recommend that you download the updated version of Forgotten Front, however, a link to the earlier version will remain available. If you want to install the updated version of Forgotten Front, first you should DELETE the previous version from your BF2 Levels folder.

Conquest 32
US forces control the Hill Camp while Chinese forces have control of the Lake Camp. Transport choppers will get you quickly into the action.
Conquest 64
US and Chinese forces each have a main base of operations and possess two transport choppers and one attack chopper. Some light armor and additional transportation is also available.
US forces are spread out but initially control the Firebase and the Fortress flags along with their home base and the remote Marsh flag. Chinese forces are heavily concentrated near the lake with control of the Hill and Pillbox flags.
COOP 32
Let’s look at the additional AI versions of the map now starting with the Co-op 32 level.
COOP 64
US Marines have the Firebase and one transport chopper while Chinese forces control both the Outcrop and the Hill. Some light armor is available.
US Marines control the Fortress, the Firebase, and the Outpost flags while Chinese forces control the Outcrop, Tower, and Pillbox flags. Holding the Firebase provides your army with the attack chopper.
Single Player Maps
Single Player 16
This is a Ground Pounder map and all-out slug fest.
One little glitch I want to mention – when a Singleplayer map is loading, the correct map image is temporarily replaced with the Conquest map image.
Single Player 32
Another Ground Pounder Slug Fest with a race at the beginning to control both the Tower and Outpost flags. The mounted machine guns are merciless.
Single Player 64
A well balanced map with both China and US forces possessing two APC vehicles along with UAV and Radar assets. The Firebase provides an attack chopper while the Hill offers an anti-air vehicle. One heavy tank is available at the Firebase but it’s effectiveness is severely diminished by the terrain.
